Pediatric wrist radiographs are hard to read because the anatomy moves. A growth plate looks a lot like a fracture line, and where it sits changes from one year to the next. Physis is our attempt at a system that helps a radiologist decide which study to open next, using the child's age as part of the input rather than treating every wrist the same. It is a triage aid and nothing more. It does not diagnose, and the on call physician who treats the child never sees a model output. That separation follows the computer aided triage and notification claim (21 CFR 892.2080), and it is enforced by the role model in the app rather than by an API flag: there is simply no account type that could show a box to the treating clinician. If the service goes down, the worklist falls back to arrival order.
